In his heavily armed Romulan shuttle, Senator Vreenak concludes a visit to inspect upgraded listening stations in the Romulan Neutral Zone along the Klingon/Romulan border near the Para'Kete Radiative Nebula, where Klingon spy vessels have been sneaking across undetected against the intense background radiation. A firm skeptic of the Klingon Empire's move into the Cardassian sector, Vreenak is now heading to a diplomatic meeting on Soukara with the Dominion Vorta official, Weyoun, as the Romulan Star Empire and the Dominion work to solidify their peace agreement in the worst days of the Dominion War.

ARTIST NOTE: The amazing artist and designer Doug Drexler designed this Romulan space-shuttle for one episode of Deep Space 9 where it was only briefly seen. He reportedly based its design off his pet parrot and a Spartan helmet while keeping it in-line with previous Romulan aesthetics. In honor of this, I found one of its most aggressive angles to stress the spartan aesthetic and then designed the spacial environment to have a number of "avian" cues - feathers of gas ruffling out into space and a peacock feather nebula in the lower right-hand-side. The red "blade" nebula in the distance is more of a Klingon design, representing the proximity of this situation to Klingon territory. Also, note the Romulan listening stations floating near the uninhabited planets.
