Yeah, that's why I'm arguing with "myself" when I'm drawing, but I'm a lazy boy, but however I must start to draw backgounds... hope to gain courage to do it.
And yep, my mom says so, my shading is subtle, but I like the way I do, but anyway it's a good suggestion , in fact I'm trying to not leave my drawings so brightly, but I don't do it so much because I'm not sure if I could screw it up and make an ugly pic X_x
Of course I won't throw your opinions, I'll seek a way to make hair not so sharp XD
Thanks so much for your nice comment and critique, it's good to see you commenting here again

Yeah, it's been a while.
Oh, and may I rant? *continues anyway*
You can discard my opinions. They ARE opinions after all, and critiques in artworks are more or less that way...I'm just asking people to give me a reasonable explanation before throwing my (or any critic's) opinions, because I believe it's a form of respect towards the critics who bothered typing all those stuff for the artist to improve, and a form of respect to the artist himself/herself--because it allows you to question, doubt, and lay down both sides of the issue. The experience you gain, therefore, goes beyond your art skills.
There are times when an artist would say "It's my style" though...and I find it valid in the case of your hair strands. I can't argue with style. But style that destroys proportions and overall beauty (the essence of an artwork, I believe) is another thing altogether. I heard you can even discard proportions if it makes your artwork pleasing to look at, but something may be amiss if you do it vice-versa. Oh yes, there are also cases where meaning/artwork interpretation is rated higher than beauty. In your case, however, I don't see any second/hidden interpretation, just a very cute character and a lovesick man. ^^
...Oh dear. >_< I'm sorry. I hope at least you found my rant useful.
I get scared a lot too with widening boundaries. My colors are too simple still until now. But I'm trying. Even if I'm ever so slow. XD
PS I had asked for you to make your hair strands sharper. Sorry for the confusion from my post. Argh.

Heh, I told you before to don't worry about it , I really apreciatte critiques and opinios like yours, I can't throw away a well structurated opinion that I think it's very useful, and I think that "It's My Style" isn't a good excuse to ignore criticism and opinions, the good opinions are helpful and the artist can take them as the best way he/she thinks they'll help to improve more.
So don't be afraid to write them, however someone that gets mad with opinions like this isn't a real artist at all, and if you see something that you can help because there's a desproportionated part, you can go ahead, at least DA is a comunity of artists, and you know how to talk about art =3. I always say to myself to don't be upset and offended with critiques and opinions, because I'm must learn that those people are trying to help, and it's good to see diferent comments than "Nice pic" or "You Rock" that, before being just a nice comment, it has a hollow use.
Well, I still practicing, when I think I can draw good enough different facts I'll try to make artwork with a nice interpretation behind being just a picture (and with pencils... X_x, maybe need to change medium? XD).
I really found useful this rant, belive me, and after all you're improving so good and I think you're going faster than me, keep up your artwork
PD: Uh? What confusion? O_o

I love her facial expression, and how you drew her facial structure.
I really like how you made her eye so shiney like that, just by shading it. Really awesome job. Aaaaand I like how you shaded in her hair too. Very 3D in some ways :3

Well, boredom and inspiration gave me courage to experiment something new this time, thought.
Do you think it looks 3D in some ways? Yay! I guess I'm improving :3
