The color pallet you choose looks good. If the main source of light its the shinning hand the nose wont cast a shadow, if you want to add volume in that zone you can do it with a color value between the shadow and the light. There should be a shadow under the arm.
In general for the style of the illustration everything its pretty good, you can improve it by looking for references of clothes, folds, maybe even rain.
