Thanks man. It's done in Photoshop...a combination of plug ins, including liquify, polar coordinates and a panoramic lens distortion filter. A wide angle lens was used on the original pic, which provided a certain amount of barrel distortion.

I love the distortion in this...it's become quite surreal and the new shape is very cool. It reminds me a bit of a music staff. Jazz is a great analogy for this.
