I CANNOT believe I've never posted this but this is the game mat design I made myself back in 2021! I use it every time my partner and I play mtg :] although my mat has a giant chocolate milk stain in the middle of it from an incident I had last year but it's almost not noticeable since it kinda blends in with the textures!.... almost :^)

anyways I used Boss and Sugar Star cause they're my fav pokemon ocs I have, and I wanted the mat to have a mix of pokemon, d&d, and magic the gathering elements since it's a multi use mat. this was before I stopped playing the pokemon tcg though nick used it to get me into mtg and by god did that work (anyone else ABSOLUTELY hyped for the lotr set coming out this year? I'm frothing at the mouth for it)

soooo if you're getting a little bored of the mechanics of the pokemon tcg you should try mtg. yeah it's super complicated at first but as long as you have someone to help you through it it's not so bad. deck theming is amazing too, I have vampires, pirate horrors, bug horrors, dragons, exploding dragons, and eggs (rakdos is <333 I basically play red/black exclusively lol)
