Description
I gave the wolf in front of me a whack on the head wit the stick. It snarled at me and snatched the stick away with its razor sharp teeth. I froze as it threw the stick away, landing a good ten feet from us. I gulped and looked up into the eyes of the beast, it's amber eyes pierced my pale grey ones and I shook from both cold, and fear.

The wolf standing next to the first, grabbed hold of my jacket. I squealed and started flailing, trying to hit and kick the animal away, to no avail. The pain in my right leg from when one of the wolves bit me was becoming unbearable. I knew I couldn't walk, I had no chance of getting away now, but I sure as hell wasn't giving up without a fight!

The smaller wolf pulled my jacket backwards and I fell over. Leaving me open for the bigger wolf to jump on top of me. Somewhere in the background I heard Denali's cry of anger and fear mixed together, I tried to block out the sound. She was suffering because I was in trouble! I kicked at the bigger wolf's stomach, trying desperatly to get it off me, but it was no use.

I closed my eyes and prepared to feel the sharp teeth close around my neck, but it never happened. Instead I heard the wolf squeal and it's weight drop from on top of me. The one behind it let go of my jacket as well.

Daring to open my eyes, I gasped at the sight in front of me.

"Jack!" I called. He was standing a good five feet in front of me, holding a big wooden staff, the tip was glowing a bright icy blue color and snow swirled around him. The wolves had backed up and were looking like they realized they were taking on more than they could handle.

Denali was standing beside Jack, her coat was covered with blood and I prayed that most of it was from the wolves.

My wrist suddenly started glowing again as I looked from Jack to the snow that circled protectively around him. I suddenly was bombarded with flashbacks of the other night's blizzard. How I woke up in a cave with someone stroking my hair. A soothing voice telling me that everything would be alright. Then to earlier this morning when I'd seen that boy running with the other kids, but none took notice of him. With a jolt, I realized this was that boy! The same boy who saved my life!
