Description The entirety of my character studies for both Sera and Amentia: fullbody, color, and expressions. 

Need more work on exaggeration of facial expressions

They look pretty similar when they're not colored. Are they related?

The only relationship these two would have is that of a prisoner and their warden, at least in the beginning. Curse my character designs having similar haircuts.
I plan to have them slowly develop an older sister figure and younger sister relationship as they adjust to life together.

Sounds interesting. I sometimes have problems making my character look a little too similar too. Luckily, I've managed to avoid doing it to much in the comic I'm currently working on. Hope that continues to be the case. Well, I have some characters who will look similar for plot reasons. But I suppose that's different.

I agree. Character designs should have thought put into it for the most part. If two or more characters look similar, then there should be a believable reason for it(i.e. clone troopers from Star Wars).
