Hi there guys, enjoying my vacation here!!
I decided to draw a new OC, juz for fun and I practiced coloring too!
I think it looks pretty good, except for the bg!
Anyways, hope you enjoy the drawing and be sure to comment if you like it!
Btw: 'Aikaro' means 'red' and 'Ichihara' was juz randomly chosen! xD

I wouldn't say that it's bad, but there could be some improvement in this piece. For one the anatomy needs some work. The head is way bigger than the rest of the body. I would use some references to see how heads look proportionally to the body. Also, work on the arms and shoulders a bit. Use references to your advantage c:
The shading and coloring is very nice, especially in the face. However, I would practice on the folds in the clothing. I have trouble with this also, so I can tell you that references definitely help with this.

I can see where the people saying it is bad are coming from. The work isn't bad, but it has many flaws, mainly the anatomy. The proportions are off, and the lines on the arms seem to be there for no good reason at all. I suggest using some photo reference to see what arms, bodies and faces look like in order to improve. I'd also look up how sleeves, clothing and folds work, because the shoulders look very awkward like this.
On the other hand, your colouring, shading and lines seem to be of good quality. Just try to improve what and how you draw things, because the technique you're using is going in the right direction.

Anatomy isn't my strongest point, I agree. (it's hard if ya never went to drawing school ^^')
At first I drew the head as coloring practice but then I decided to draw a half body drawing to update my dA..so then it turned out like that.
I tried to draw muscles but as you can see, I failed at that too. ^^'
I'll definitely look up some images, I really want to improve!
I rarely draw lineart because I personally think that I'm not good at it, but I'm proud of my coloring!

No problem! You should bear in mind that it is always okay to have an own style, and to stylize some things like anatomy, but that it will most of the time look better if the artist already has a good knowledge of anatomy
