I like doing collages like this. I'll update it with a new version soon since the images are kind of tilted.Anyway, I was walking with a friend (Betsy The Ripper [link] ) and I was telling her about the original idea I had for this and she exclaimed, "That's so modernist of you!" I loved it!
I wanted these two to be kind of opposites of one another. One light and the other dark. One with two images and another with four. I also did it with titles, "you're my summer in the winter" is all in lower case and "That's so Modernist of You" uses capitals.
I guess I like the fact that I started the year off in love.

The sunflower is the sun, happiness and I think when people are in love they tend to carry their heart on the outside. It's like I'm letting my heart bask in the sunlight.
The other meaning people enject is that "love is blind" and even though you can't see love you can feel it and it's warmth.

I personally like the tilt. It gives the image kind of a side-heavy appearance, possibly like your sunflower-lamp is elevated. I also enjoy how we can kind of see text across the surface, but not enough to discern what it really is saying. And the title text is very well integrated into this one. Overall, the picture is very well balanced and very pleasing to the eye. <3

I'm glad the text fits better. I agreed with people about how the other one had the text "pasted on." I think this one has a more commercial feel than the other one, the other one had more emotion to it, it wasn't commercial at all. I might just leave the images tilted now that you said that. Thank you for leaving a really good critique.
