I mean no wonder her outfit was so disco. So here is my tribute to that bygone era, gold satin and all.

Awesome work, and yes I do remember the Phoenix Saga from back in the day! The funny thing is that Marvel just got through introducing the Uncanny X-Men team in 75 and creating the X-Factor when they went ahead on this story line. That was a major monkey wrench thrown in there back then!

I love that version of Jean Grey/Phoenix. love the flat look of the outfit in comparison to the shiny boots, gloves and sash. The pose goes beyond anything cheesecake and looks almost as if she is casually brushing away a former team member trying to stop her. I love the flying hair and the perceived action in this image!

"Step aside, I will be first". I like that, she had a detatched superiority in those days. That hair is 4 of the same hair set all moved different ways to give it a full look. Thanks for the great comment.

It was really well done how they broke her away from her previous role during the phoenix saga, it had to be a believable change and to do a night and day switch like really set the bar for the expansion of characters in the Marvel universe.
