This is the INKED and COLOURED version of Julie-Su Armed, from "Sonic The Hedgehog" comics and partner (love and combat) of Knuckles. Challenged myself further again with this character with inking by pens (originally intended to use brushes but best use for large black areas). Give her a pair of boots this time, but more close to the original style that Ken Penders and Spaz designed, but a bit of Yardley as well. The blue and red background gives it a color reconzition of Sonic and Knuckles.I'm most proud of myself of how both the inking and the coloring has turned out in this pic, very realistic lighting and glows. It's my second attempt of the whole comic-book process (pencils-ink-colors). The background gives more of a graphic look to the image. My art has started improved more and more over the past year.
Inspired by the works of Tracy Yardley, Steven Butler and Spaz, the inking of Terry Austin & Jim Amash, and the coloring of Ben Hunzker and Matt Herms.
