Description The voodoo iconography is so full of wonderful hints for amazing characters....they've got the most beautiful spirits/gods. This one in particular, the snake, is called Damballa. He's the most important one in this religion. The symbol on the guy's hand is the specific one to this god, to which you are supposed to pray for his benevolence.

I took the god and whipped up a voodoo warrior-monk for him :v
Still haven't come up with a name, though!

The only summoner of Damballa that I've ever know of was my ancestor Marie LaVeau.  Marie LaVeau the 1st that is.  There were 3 of them - though they all looked so much alike and used potions of youth that it was very hard to tell them apart.  Marie the 1st would summons Damballa Wedo and his consort Aieda Wedo.  It is said that she and her Familiar, the large python Le Zombie could walk into the waters and stay submerged for unbelievable amounts of time, often being given up for dead before reemerging and practically buzzing with the high energy of the Snake God and Goddess.  Some say Le Zombie took on human form at certain times.  Being a descendent I have my doubts even though I DO follow Voudon and Voodoo.  However, for the sake of your drawing, you could call the The Zombie.  I think it would work really well.
