This is very cool, especially the way the light and movement were captured and the angle being tilted makes this picture just gorgeus.

Well done!

thanks, yea I was pretty much lying down for this one, we used fishing wire for the cape. haha the tilt was becuase it couldnt go back any further and it was my widest focal length.

Yeah but I've met plenty of photographers who won't make any sacrifices regarding themselves eg. they won't take pictures lying on the ground (the clothes get dirty!)Β or being in an uncomfortable position, although most of the time the cosplayer has it more difficult, wearing props and stuff that impede ones movement...So yeah, I'm saying you actually made an effort which I really appreciate ^^

Fishing line? Haha that's great xD

but isn't that the point of being a photographer thought. to push yourself, get down and dirty for the one photo that makes you happy. and I agree the cosplayer does have a lot of stress put on them, not to mention the shear heat here in Brisbane Michael the cosplayer in the photo was sweating buckets, after this photo we had to take a break for a while so he could recuperate. and thank you for your appreciation.Β

the fishing wire was so we could flip the cape without having hands in the photo.

Ouch, sounds tough! And yes I believe the most beautiful/interesting pictures I've got is when I was in either weird or "hard-to-keep" poses ^^ ...or both.

I'll remember to bring fishing poles to my next photoshooting if possible/needed, sounds good and I feel like trying it out
