Again I find myself longing for an impressionism gallery...Wow, it's been a long time since my last screentone "painting" ... which was a heron.
Anyway, the story behind this one:While I was at work today, I saw a little girl who was carrying an 18-inch skeleton around as though it was a doll. Exactly like, actually. So I had to come home and draw it. A couple of hours passed before I had time to draw it, so the details faded quite a bit... Everything except her hairstyle and the way she was holding the skeleton.
For a moment, I felt a glimmer of hope for the human race. ^_^

While the composition does look nice, try and refine a bit on the more detailed features of the character's clothing, perhaps even create a background design effect for the character. Nice work.

Thanks for the thoughtful comment. ^_^ Working from memory several hours old made details rather a challenge here. The actual background was a row of faux flowers, which I feared would detract from the image.

I love this! Even more, I love that this was something you really saw, how bizarre! This screentone style is also very interesting -- the patterns it creates makes it hard for my eyes to stay still. Very neat, unique image. It'd be really awesome to see some sort of background on this but only if it was reworked in a style that wasn't the screentone (simply because that's so much information already). Great piece!
