Love how the "human" like figure is despairing over the loss of the polar bear and yet it is also losing itself in the process... And is continuing to do so.

well, the idea of the painting is more of a social commentary than an actual story haha
to me it's representative of humankind's sorrow for what we've done to the planet n its inhabitants, but even though we mourn, we continue to destroy
i saw a photograph from national geographic before I painted this, of a polarbear that was just skin and bones, eating upholstery from a snow mobile seat
