Description:    Eliza focuses her own energy into her two blades, connecting them to herself and permitting her stretch the laws of physics by moving them with magic - so long as they remain within a 25 meter radius. At this point, she may throw them and they will leave a string-like trail connecting them to her, or she may keep them on her. If at any point an opponent is surrounded in all directions by the “strings”, they suffer -1 SPD, and for every second this continues, they lose 1 HP. If they touch the “strings”, they lose 2 HP for each second. If at any point an opponent is struck by one of her blades, it will deal 20% more damage than if they were struck by the blade without this spell. 

Restrictions / Flaws: Needs 1 turn to prepare, and 2 turns to cool down.

She may not cast any other spells while this spell is still in use.

The more damage the opponent(s) take, the less energy this spell will take; that said, if she misses or nobody is hit, she will suffer -1 SPD as she will not have enough energy to keep up her normal speed.

If at any point someone/something manages to move a blade outside of the 25 meter range, all “cords” attached to that blade will snap and she will be forced to physically retrieve it - no magic.

The “cords” only affect the intended targets, of which there may be 2. Nobody else is remotely affected by them - meaning, they can pass through them as they like.

Once a target has been established, she may not switch targets until both blades are retrieved.

Description:    She may convert lingering magical energy around her into the form of concentrated waves and then direct those waves to opponents up to 100 m. This disrupts their emotional processes by either amplifying or suppressing them, and thus hinders their judgement and spell-casting abilities. This ability does not read the target(s)’ mind or emotions, but it does allow her to accurately estimate the strength of the target(s)’ emotions and act accordingly. The target(s) may suffer from some trauma afterward, but the trauma is temporary.
Stops spellcasting for 2 turns or until she takes damage when in her close range, and lowers opponent’s INT by up to 2 in her far range. 

Restrictions / Flaws: 
Normal/strong up to a 50 m. radius; null beyond 100 m.

The presence of extremely strong emotions (i.e. rage) within her strong range will overwhelm this process and cause this spell to either A.) quickly drain her mana - and once that runs out, her hp - until the spell is over, B.) cause an amplified version this spell to backfire on her so that she cannot cast more spells for up to 6 turns. In some cases, this may cause the opponent to suffer dramatically as well, but she has no control over that.

Becomes dangerous to use at low levels of mana or hp.

Cannot be used against individuals with strong control of their emotions in combat.

Her control over which individuals within range this affects is very limited, so she rarely puts this ability to use when she fights within 50 m. of an ally. 



Assistive Awareness | Passive: Arcane

Description:    Assistive Awareness allows Eliza to reach out to one other person and access their senses to varying degrees if they voluntarily give her permission to do so. With this connection, she may see what that person sees, hear what that person hears, and so on. Essentially, she can only sense the external stimuli experienced by that person. The connection goes both ways, and can be used by both sides at once or just one. 

Restrictions / Flaws: 
Limited to one-on-one connections - attempting more means possible loss of sanity from a sensory overload.

The connection must be established when both parties are within 50m of each other; after that, they need to remain within 1 mile of each other to keep it.

Both sides may cut off from each other as they desire, but only Eliza can establish or reestablish the connection.

All thoughts, emotions, etc. remain private; only external stimuli are felt.

She has control of which sense she’s using or trading - however, when doing this, she dulls that sense on her own side.
    For instance, if she’s hearing what the other party is hearing, then she can hardly hear what’s going on around her.

Eliza’s values efficiency and logic over all else, making her a rather blunt talker because she sees no reason in speaking in roundabout ways regardless of who she talks to. That is not to say she lacks tact completely - she is a strategic character, although more so in combative or magical aspects than social aspects. Years of muting her feelings for the sake of spellcasting render her unable to express a full spectrum of emotion when interacting with others, which has created communication issues on more than one occasion. Her faith in her own self-control and judgement leads her to act out on her own accord; it is rare that she will act on behalf of another if she receives no benefit from doing so. This also contributes to her “tunnel vision,” as some may call it, where she becomes so fixated on the task at hand that she tends to ignore everything else - including her own physical needs. Even so, brutal honesty usually brings her back to reality after a while, even if it takes the negative form of self-criticism, which in her case entails detailed self-analyzation typically oriented toward her flaws
and the problems they bring.

**MISCELLANEOUS**

    • The specialty of Rael physical training lies in speed, while the specialty of Rowan physical training lies in defence or resilience. The alliance between the two stems from their compatibility in battle and dates back to the days of kings and their knights.

      • The people she trusts most are the Rowan bloodline’s head, and his lady.

    • With her parents dead and her older brother nowhere to be found, she is the rightful Rael heir until further notice - but not old enough to take the mansion. Until then, other relatives took the duty of keeping it “for her.”

    • Often comes off condescending, although it’s not always intentional.

    • Has difficulty understanding sarcasm, insults, or compliments.

    • Never received instruction in a class before; all her instruction up to this point has been private.

      • Doesn’t really understand the concept of school. Everything about the train is foreign to her; she just finds it a safer way to travel and find information than wandering alone.

    • Tries to hide her past, with the exception of the cello Ignacio gave her.

      • Holds musicians to a high level of respect - at least for their ability, if not other things as well.

      • Has an affinity for pianists, as the piano is structured in a way that optimizes performance.

      • She has calculations for a lot of instruments’ structures and how they affect acoustics - all of which were done in moments of boredom.
