(standart zoom 18-55mm, but in retro position) Imaging scale in this picture is 4:1

Hi!
This is really beautiful, but i'm finding the Depth of Field quite weird. It's different from other macros on your gallery. The out of focus area seems to shift suddenly, and there is so much image in focus... So I'm puzzled! help here, what did you do?? Thanks!

Hi and thx.
There are 2 reasons why the pic looks diferent to my other macro shots.
1: itΒ΄s a stackshot (dff) that means 40 pics with diferent focus area one above the other...
the second reason is...I used a diferent lens (standart zoom 18-55mm, but in retro position) Imaging scale in this picture is 4:1

Oh I see!
This is splendid, for I find it soooo hard to photograph with a reversed 18-55! I mean, I don't have a tripod and have to hold the camera+lens, it's really hard to be still and keep anything in focus! Do you remember the aperture you used, and what reversed focal lenght? I mean, were you more on the 55 or on the 18 end?

I never had the oportunity to do some stacking with different focus... Sometime I will, though.

cya!
