I've been waiting for a chance to make this picture for years. Our Warcraft guild chat was, like, "oh shizz Seeyra noooo" and I was punching the air and cheering and doing a victory dance in my chair. And I always loved fel hounds, or rather, the Lovecraftian horror of something draining one's energies then everything else. With tentacles.ΒI also tried four different ways to rig those tentacles and ended up going with the boring regular one, then modeled my own cool tentacle and realized only after I put it in none of its coolness shows with that glowy spell on it,l so now I have fancy rigs and fancy tentacles and so help me the Great Beancan In The Sky, I find where to use them. I just need to get my guild to go tackle a kraken...

Oooh it's really good! The composition and the light in this one is 10/10, with the focus being drawn so quickly to the awful action taking place, and then later you spot all the details like the building in the right side of the artwork from Argus, the fuzzy felhound and her own tentacles wiggling in fear and pain!
I'm glad I wasn't the only one with a "Oh yes time to do something risky and dangerous but so cooool" reaction. You did it all justice

Jewels, it's so good to once in a while have someone sacrificing logic and character dignity to generate an awesome scene. Thank you for that, and the inspiration, and all those awesome words, and for noticing all the details (like the facetacles writhing in pain, I really thought nobody would notice that detail, but you taught me that facetacles can be so expressive I can't not-use them now). Well, draenei are very old, so it's incredibly likely the draenei in question knew more than one way to fight. Judging from the image, the draenei may have been a battle-mage (think warrior + mage = warrior armor and some abilities + magic, basically) so it may have simply have been a task of adapting to a new magic-less life

Well, there is - several paladins have survived losing their light abilities and iircΒ the withered sill live without magic. Beings with their magic removed (and if unable to get it back) will likely respond in different ways, alas.
