Even though I was absolutely out of my mind when my copy of Space Hulk arrived in the post, due to its sheer awesomeness, it has taken me quite a while to actually get any models finished. This is mainly because I decided to show some respect to these truly wonderful models and go all out on the paint job. So, here's the fist of many and I have to say, I am VERY pleased with him. I didn't want to paint them in the Blood Angel colours so I looked for one of their founding chapters and came aross the Lamenters. The paint scheme appealed to me for two reasons, because it was a real old school scheme and because I've been wanting to try my hand at painting yellow for quite some time. I think it came out great

It reminds me of old school comic colors, like cell painting in 3-d the effect is quite striking.

A masterfully well done job on highlights and shading, and an awesome choice of a miniature to paint, that new space hulk game has a lot of epically posed termies and nidz. Are you going to do more from the set?

Thanks man. I've never really liked yellow, as a colour and cause I couldn't paint it. So I haven't even tried to paint anything yellow for years, but I thought it was time to give it a roper go and it came out great. The foundation paints really do help though. Harumble for Iyanden Darksun!

Hehehehe, the freakinf Iron Warriors detachment I have is only missing the yellow work, everything else is ready...but yes, I need to go and buy some fundation colors. What's your recomendation?

Iyanden Darksun, highlight with sunburst yellow then Bad moon yellow. If you wanna go the whole hog finish off with a skull white highlight.
