This was one of my first assemblage pieces. I think I made it in 1996 ( give or take a year). I was sitting at a table in a restaurant, (maybe it was steak and shake, maybe not) and with the other condiments they had a jar that contained these itty-bitty banana peppers. I couldn't get over how fleshy they looked. I also found it interesting that these seed pods (baby makers if you will) that were intended to create more banana pepper life never even got to make it to the dirt and just ended up seasoning / flavoring someones sandwich.
