Thanks Micha! for those words.

Portraits like this is typical that I can draw just because they make me very happy.

I of the draw or paint something that making a good feeling inside of me.     I can draw or paint something that are beautiful but I prefer a subject that make me feeling well. And of course, if it is a subject making me happy and is beautiful then it is the best.

that's good that you connect your feelings with the draw
the more beautiful is the work
because that's heart here and the passion for detail

I was wondering how to thank you for all your nice comments and the watch. Well, I think this is my favourite among all your works, at the moment, but it's hard to say because I haven't browsed all your gallery yet. It is full of emotion, and the tones are so delicate ... I don't know when and if I'll ever get to your level.

BeironAndersson In reply to Rubina1970 [2014-12-25 21:34:20 +0000 UTC]

I also like this art much because it gives an impression with joy , so that's always nice when I one feel joy.

Children are my favorite subjects, I'm always happy when I replicate them.

Yes, the shadows was difficult, especially the teeth, because even small error in shading is easy noticed, and the shades vary with each tooth ( due to that , the light is not evenly distributed over every tooth ), and in very weak difference in shades, and also same here, a small error in shading  is detected quick.

Thank you......      for the compliment Rubina !!

But i think you can become as good or better, it is just to compare carefully the subject with drawing, and adjust, then it is a matter of time. A good eraser that can erase small areas can be to a help. They have erasers that is like a pen with a tip.

Thank you Clive!

When such a comment comes from you with your long experience, it means extremely much. It is something I do not take lightly on.

I remember that drawing the teeth's gives me a lesson in tone differences.

I think your drawings are one of the best here on DA. And I hope you can continue, as much as possible, although your vision is not as it should right now.

All the best to you Clive.

Peter,
You flatter me, but you are right about teeth. You need to get very subtle shading both on an individual tooth and between teeth.   A few years ago a portrait artist that I met at a local event said that she tried to avoid drawing portraits with an open smile as it was too easy to end up with teeth looking like tombstones!  You have certainly avoided this pitfall!

Thanks for your commendation that I can draw teeth on a person Clive ! And as I say before, when it comes from a professional, as all who have seen your work know you are , so of course I become very happy !

You are right Clive ! It requires invidiuell shading of each tooth , especially if the light falls mostly from the side, and not from the front or from multiple light sources. Then shadows and gray tones might be eliminated, or reduced.
I laughed quite a bit about your history, but not to her, but with her. It's pretty tough with such adversity.

Thank you Sara!  Is was so nice to read your criticism, it gave a very nice review score on this drawing.

When I saw the picture for the first time, I was very happy (feelings that often are so important to motivate me to draw). I like very much when I see genuine joy expressed straight out, no doubt. Children often do it, that's why I like kids and animals.

Erm... I'm afraid that's not the case I only started to draw more "seriously" about two years ago and my knowledge is little and superficial. But I'm trying to improve it and learn as much as I can about the theory and it helps me notice some things I wasn't aware before.

But thanks for the nice words

BeironAndersson In reply to victorialovesart [2013-12-21 15:16:37 +0000 UTC]

Very kind of you to say Victoria, you are amazing!!!

I would prefer if the light was whiter because the subject had such a light. There is actually a difference.

I must get a lamp with cool white light (to simulate daylight). the eyes can sometimes deceive, so one can believe that the light is whiter though it is not. A amera captures the true light.

Thanks again, and also for the fave.

I will try new techniques soon like collage, sketching, pointillism.

Are you thinking of try some new techniques ?

I look forward to your art!

Thank you very much Sue, you are an angel!  I really like most photographs/ paintings/ drawings that are mysterious (some of your paintings), but also pictures of joy. Why I draw and paint a bit different from what I am saying above is partly because I want to vary my art but also because I can empathize with people who have a hard time (sedate sadness), or feel for different environments (hibernation painting). Otherwise, I like mystery, calm and nice pictures (your painting Angel), and also drawings / paintings / pictures of joy
