awesome perspective and expressive portrait, unusual but stunning work!

May I say that I really don't see why it's an awesome perspective nor why it's expressive in any way. The girl looks rather dull and the whole image is more or less gray.
The only thing that is unusual is the dynamics in this photo. It has some strong composition/movement. Other than that, it's pretty the usual.
May you please further explain your comment?

the perspective is awesome to me because of its unusualness, it simply caught my eye and stood out in an aesthetic fashion, really do i need to justify myself in any way? Im not an art critic, i just like what i like - the popeye philosophy On closer look i think what also attracted me was the strong lines and use of compositional thirds, the blank expression adds to the effect and the positioning and clarity of the eyes also stands out. I also like sunsets, animals, flowers and beauty everywhere but i dont need to explain why i like them Have a great day and remember art is to be enjoyed on an individual basis and if we all liked/hated the same things sites like this wouldn't exist!

Haha, I totally agree with your last statement.
Still, I was wondering why this caught your eyes and why you specifically made that comment.
Also, I think to know and deeply understand why you like things is a way to enjoy life a little easier, since you know what/where to look for. It's not that I want you to see the world like I do - just was curious about your comment.

I too like sunsets, animals, flowers and even very simple things that people find uninteresting - but I do know why I like those things. And that satisfies my desire to understand and acknowledge life and myself. Really, aren't we all trying to understand ourselves in this life?

Thanks for your reply!

I think im a little bit older than you and while many people (including me when younger), do question things and ask why in a search for understanding, i can honestly say i no longer look for those reasons but can quite easily sit back and admire something just for the sheer aesthetic enjoyment it brings. Many things capture my eye for many different reasons and i CAN enjoy it on a purely visual basis, i call it the "oooh shiney" principle
ps - im also easily distracted. Quite simply my desire to understand has been replaced/surpassed by a desire to appreciate, the two dont have to be all inclusive in my life. Have a great day mate, enjoy your art and cheers
