Description Hello everyone, Happy St. Andrew's Day 2023!

I had drawn a picture of a Scottish warrior standing atop a cliff-face, with woad body-paint, a tartan full-body sash, a claymore, and a giant flag of Scotland over him.

The text above him says "Alba gu Bràth", which is an traditional Scottish Gaelic phrase said to show allegiance to Scotland, it literally means "Scotland Forever".

What doo 'ye think? I had drawn this at school, when I had discovered that it is actually St. Andrew's Day today. St. Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland, and the flag for Scotland is a blue flag, with a white cross going across it from the corners, nicknamed "St. Andrew's Cross".

I hope that you enjoyed the picture, and Alba gu Bràth!

My heart's in the Highlands, my heart is not here,

My heart's in the Highlands, a-chasing the deer;

Chasing the wild-deer, and following the roe,

My heart's in the Highlands, wherever I go.

Farewell to the Highlands, farewell to the North,

The birth-place of Valour, the country of Worth;

Wherever I wander, wherever I rove,

The hills of the Highlands for ever I love.

Farewell to the mountains, high-cover'd with snow,

Farewell to the straths and green vallies below;

Farewell to the forests and wild-hanging woods,

Farewell to the torrents and loud-pouring floods.

My heart's in the Highlands, my heart is not here,

My heart's in the Highlands, a-chasing the deer;

Chasing the wild-deer, and following the roe,

My heart's in the Highlands, wherever I go.

Robert Burns, 1789.
