Description

Minigriffins were notoriously difficult creatures. This one measured only 12 centimeters from the beak to the tip of the tail, but it caused far more trouble than any medium-sized griffin would ever do.

You couldn't really have them outside. For once, they could end up as prey for cats, foxes, birds of prey and other predators. For the second - they didn't really understand their predatory songbird nature. They would try to chase off all creatures who looked remotely similar to them - which meant that most smaller birds were in danger. And they tried to hunt. Their feline nature made them attack mice, which often were as large as themselves. One could often lose a minigriffin, only to find it on chirping in front of the door some hours later, completely exhausted and sitting on top of an unfortunate, dead rodent.

The obvious solution was to keep them indoors. However, while small birds often were in constant, or almost constant, motion... Felines were not. This resulted in the odd behavior of sitting still for hours, before suddenly, without warning, making a mad dash around the house, to the horror of all other inhabitants. They flew fast. And they crashed from time to time.

So they were difficult pets to have - but, of course, their cuteness more than made up for it. That, and the fact that they rules the internet, and guaranteed you many followers if you managed to get good photos of them.

So, you asked for it. And here you have - the first blue tit X leopard mini griffin I have ever seen. Sorry about the lion tail, I drew that before I decided to go for leopard... But it does look awesome.

I think I'll draw more of these in the future... They are just so much fun.
