Description This was a project I had to do for a photography elective I chose during my graphic design course at college.

It's a 180 degree panoramic photo using 10 or more scanned in photographs... well, it was supposed to be but it's closer to 150 degrees i think.

Tools : Pentax Z-10 Film SLR > Developed @ K-mart > Cannon Scanner > Mac G5 > Photoshop 6

It feels very cinematic, as I scrolled across it felt like I was actually looking around

That's a very nice panorama! Please check some of my new 360 degrees interactive ones --> [link]

In the last two, I finally managed to make them 100% seamless! ^____^

thanks ken

i like your flash panoramas, what kind of camera & lens do u use for ur pano?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ken1171 In reply to beck13 [2008-11-03 07:28:08 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! My camera is nothing much special - it's a Canon PowerShot IS3 with default lenses, using the built-in panorama program to help aligning the shots, usually 13 in total for full 360 degrees capture. The Canon panorama shooting mode allows you to see a semi-transparent view of the last shot, so you can align the next one and decide how much overlapping to leave between shots. The first couple of panoramas used an ancient Sony Mavica FD-73, which comes with a built-in 3.5" floppy disk drive. LOL

The Canon panorama helper is really useful when trying to keep a constant overlap between shoots, which will later make it easier to match perspective distortions because they are more or less the same for all shots. It also automatically disables auto-color saturation correction to avoid exposure discrepancies between shots caused by light source position. ^^

yeah, i only get my holidays over christmas time... and i'm a little worried about what the heat will be like! 27 degree days here were too hot for me i hate to think what 34+ will be like

it should be exciting though, i've never been to a theme park before
