Description Seeing as the Demon Abaddon has a connection with Scorpion Tailed Locusts, I based Abaddon on various Grasshopper, Locust, and Cricket species. The raptoroal limbs in particular are based on a Mole Cricket.

I did look at Dune Crickets for Abadon here. I like their feet, so I modified them a bit to make sense for a larger creature.

Kamacurus but actually cooler

Look Up my version of the Spore Mantis. Much better Kamacurus than Abaddon, because Abaddon is a Locust with Mole Cricket raptoral limbs.

You're bang on with the scorpion connection...kinda makes me think the GIANT scorpion from concept art is maybe meant to be Abaddon. Still love this original take though

See, I felt that the giant scorpion was Sargon, and abaddon was the long-tailed, jackal-headed bat.

Sargon being a beetle of some kind makes more sense to me since there's a real life beetle species named that.Β

Nah, Sargon would for sure be the scorpion. Dougherty loves movie monsters, and would totally name it that as a reference to The Mummy 2.

So do you think that they might be some lost link between all species? Like Behemoth being a link towards elephants and sloths or Scylla being a link towards crustaceans and insects?Β  Β Β

don't think she's an insect, maybe a link between crustaceans and squid/ammonite's?

Don't see how that'd work logically speaking, but its fiction soΒ

given that Abaddon is a primordial locust i can imagine it could control many species of grasshoppers to form offensive and defensive swarms against opponents, it can jump to long distances at high speeds and even fly, plus Abaddon could spit a highly radioactive "tobacco juice" that can destroy crops and kill other organisms.

All Locust actually. The limbs are based on the Mole Cricket.
