Description This is the official poster that I did for Zelda solarus. - [link] - I had some problems for the models principally because that I didn't create the orriginal drawing of the characters and that I didn't had a lot of models. -I had only two-

I really suggest you to see full view, the smalle one isn't very good!

Personally, I really like how the color had turned.

Did it on illustration board, with coulourde pencils and achrilic paint.

I just want to thank Drew Struzan and Jerome Moo for taking time to answer to my questions!

I am a pretty big Link fan. I think it would be very easy to see it was Link even if the type wasn't there as a hint. It doesn't look much like him, but the overall feel is very identifiable. His arrms kinda bug me though. So thin and weak.

Link's face here is pretty cool - it doesn't really look like the one from the games, but it's still clear enough to see who it is. Sort of stylised. The red ribbon thing around his neck looks very cool! I love the castle and monster in the background. Definately one to be proud of!

I like the colors too, but it seems as if Link stands out a little too much. Try using similar colors from the rest of the compisition in the shading, such as blue in the shading of his green tunic and hat, or some purple in the red ribbon/scarf.

I like the way the color came out too. It's got the cartoony flare of a mid afternoon cartoon, but as a good poster does, gives hints and mystery toward the ultimate story. I think it feels like there's something missing in the black space to the right, somewhat unfinished. I like Link's expression, and the ribbon flows magically.

bdec In reply to yoodoo [2005-06-21 20:28:46 +0000 UTC]

Merci!
