As the sun shined brightly in the sky, a young boy stood outside the gym where the world famous Ash Ketchum was training his pokemon. The little boy's name was Max and he had always dreamt of becoming a great pokemon trainer, just like Ash.
Max had watched Ash's battles and adventures on TV and had idolized him ever since. He had even collected all of Ash's pokemon cards and had every episode of his journey on DVD.
Today, Max had finally mustered up the courage to meet his idol in person. He had traveled all the way from his small town to the grand city where Ash was currently staying.
As he stood outside the gym, Max took a deep breath and walked in. To his surprise, he found Ash inside, along with his longtime friend and fellow trainer, Misty.
Max's heart raced with excitement. He couldn't believe that he was actually standing in front of his idols.
'Excuse me, Mr. Ketchum?' Max said, addressing Ash.
'Yeah, what's up kid?' Ash replied, smiling at the young boy.
'I, umm, I wanted to ask if you could train me to become a pokemon master,' Max said nervously.
Ash and Misty chuckled at the boy's request. They had both been in a similar position when they had started their pokemon journey.
'Sorry kid, but I already have a full team of pokemon to train,' Ash said. 'But don't worry, I'm sure there are plenty of other trainers who would love to take you on.'
Max's heart sank at the thought of not being able to be trained by his idol. But before he could walk away disappointed, Misty spoke up.
'Actually, Ash and I were just about to head out on a training trip,' she said. 'Why don't you come along with us? We'll train you to become a great trainer, just like us.'
Max's eyes lit up with excitement. He couldn't believe his luck. Not only was he going to be trained by Ash and Misty, but he would also get to go on an adventure with them.
The three of them spent the whole day training and battling alongside each other. Max learned so much from Ash and Misty, and they even let him join in on some of their battles.
As the day came to an end, Max couldn't help but feel grateful for this amazing experience. Before saying goodbye, he asked if he could take a picture with Ash and Misty.
The trio stood together with their pokemon, while Max's camera captured the beautiful afternoon behind them. Then noticing a strong connection between his two new masters, he also asked if he could take a picture of just them alone with their Pikachu to which Misty seemed to enjoy more than the always naive Ash. She knew at once that Max realized that they were a couple, and was just being nice with that final request.
As Max walked away with a big smile on his face, Ash and Misty felt proud of the young boy. He was well on his way to becoming a great trainer, and they were happy to have been a part of his journey.
From that day on, Max kept in touch with Ash and Misty. They became his mentors, and he grew up to become one of the greatest pokemon trainers, just like his idols. And he always remembered that special day when he met his idols and they became his first trainers.
