Description
This is a different render using my Spitfire model.I like the angle in this one even though you can't see all the details that you could see in the previous version.
Inspired by the movie "Battle of Britain" with Michael Caine. Trying to catch a cinematic feeling.

Nice work!! I had an uncle that flew with the RAF as an ''advisor'' for 6 months prior to the American USAAC pilots making it to the battlefront in Europe. He made the mistake of pulling a flying stunt about the time an inspecting general arrived at his airbase here in the states, trying to outdo one of his fellow pilots in their little feud as to who was the better pilot. Instead of a court martial, the general said the Brits needed a bit of help and sent him over to England as an "advisor" and he was part of an American squadron flying with the RAF during that period of WWII.

Thats really nice render, is pretty dynamic, maye add a little depth of field, or fake it in photoshop? might add some extra dynamic. Also did you use normal maps or bump maps to create the textures on the wings for rivets etc?

thanks! Another member sent me examples where he hade added more dof in post. I don't think it looked good because it made the image look like a macro shot of a plastic model. The rivets on the wings are created using a bump map. The rivets close to the fuselage are however modeled - the images on this page show what I mean:
