Description A view of Diamond Head Crater, and Honolulu stretching out around it. On the right with all the high rises is Japan...I mean Waikiki. Might as well be though, a good 70% of the people there are Japanese tourists

Taken along a road to some obscure state park (there weren't any signs until we were right outside it) and some homes on property which probably cost a fortune. Despite the fact that it's bordering this big, American city it's a lush jungle environment in which you'd hardly know Honolulu was there, except for a couple of viewpoints such as this one.

It's like that picture was sitting there waiting for you to take it. Light and all is amazing.
There is something beautiful about cities if you ask me too.

I very nearly missed it to. We had stopped at an overlook over the city, and I took a few pics but they weren't really good because it was overcast, so we decided to get back in the car and leave. Just as I was climbing back in though the sun broke through, so I scrambled out of the car with my camera

What wouldn't you do for art? I can so see this before my eyes. And it looks very amusing.
Have you been photographing "seriously" for long?

Seriously? Eh, I wouldn't describe myself as a serious photography. Serious amateur maybe.
It's been about 2 years or so.

Serious amateur it is.
You're good!
I have a friend who's good that the technical stuff but he's not too artistic, which really kills it for him.
You seem to have an eye for the artistic stuff too

Awesome view!

I must say you've got the best of everything (what looks like) here. I mean, you've captured the sky, buildings, land, mountain/crater and ocean (I think), so it's pretty cool, composition wise.

It's also pretty interesting, lighting and colour wise.

Thanks! It was an awesome view!

And of course it's the ocean silly, there aren't any large bodies of water in Hawaii except for the Pacific
