They are angel glyphs inscribed upon his skin. They glow whenever he uses his powers. Each one renders a different power upon him when he activates them. From heightened speed, to increased strength, heightened senses, etc. They do come at a cost however...

I saw this guy when I checked DA on my phone. I never get a good look from there but it was late. Couldn't wait to get up this morning and take a proper look. Declan just keeps on growing from strength to strength.

Oh, he's very much a Dante from DmC inspired character as I've gotten to know him better. Doesn't back down from a challenge. Stubborn. A bit crass but has a deep sense of right and wrong and despises bullies.
