Ang galing! I don't know how you can put so many things together in one piece and make it still look harmonious and solid. Nothing clashes. Every part makes the whole work great. Wow! (i liked the lavender-ish leaf-like part with the running dots very much.)

Salamat! I used these colors because they were drying up. they're from tubes of acrylic that i've neglected through the years.

there was a short animation film on the television about a black bird. he flew into a palace and saw this majestic fantasy bird locked away in a big room. the little birdie felt very ugly so he gathered all these fruits and flowers and leaves from the forest and dressed himself up and he looked like the bird in your drawing.
the birdie returned to the palace and danced in from of the king. he loved the dance and put the bird in a very small cage. the bird felt trapped(duh) and scared, soon after being caught there was a big storm that destroyed the palace and broke his cage. he flew away into the forest and washed off.
(i like the swirls around the bird's beak)

i don't remember, it was one of those "national film board of canada" short animation. i do remember it had a song done by some type of flute (which was also in kill bill ) but i don't remember the title at all.

Really? Didn't get to read much. All I know is that their hook shaped beaks are used to sip nectar from a flowers. They don't look dangerous though. Although they could carry malaria...

thanks! I wish i could say this was all planned, but it isn't. All the images were from stuff i randomly picked up. It's strange how these things work out sometimes.
