I searched through my archives today and I got this idea when I found this photo. Processed RAW in PS and added soft vignetting, frame and the small photos of mine into the film strip and this is how it came out.denka

this is awesome... Aren't negatives somewhat see-through though? Could you have used reversed images in the blank spaces?

Cool composition, I like the helix shape of the film and the use of negative space. I guess using inverted negative colors and adding some photos to the back halves of the helix would make it even more realistic. Anyway, it looks very realistic now, like a real photo, and you only notice those things when you think about the picture for a while :]

You know, the more I think about this photo, erm photo manipulation, the more I like that slightly surreal touch - very real looking, but can't be real on second thought. And it adds to the composition that one side of the film seems to have a different color.

Very nice, though, as this is negative film it would've been even better if you'd inverted the images - or just used positive film for this piece.
