Description ...Those who live between air and water, sea monsters attack from below, rising from the depths. The gaze of the surface inhabitant is often directed to the sky, and the Sun blinds it, not allowing to see what is hidden in the darkness below. The monster, rising from the darkness, perfectly sees the target, illuminated by the treacherous luminary.

Alright, this going into 'Favourites' purely because of that one hesperornis who looks as though its making a Kamikaze run at this particular sea-serpent in a desperate bid to distract it from the rest of the flock!

It’s unlikely that it was a "kamikaze", just dived for the fish on time - and a terrible truth was revealed to it. But in particular it is just safe. So, no, not a kamikaze.

Hee hee, I must admit that had struck me as the most probable interpretation of this piece - but my own suggestion just struck me as more Entertainingly Daft! (I have a slightly cartoonish sense of whimsy, it must be admitted).

Dash it all, those seabirds have POINTY beaks - I was about to make a joke about the local waters being on the brink of turning into Duck Soup, but having gulled myself into a false sense of security I'm just going to have to think of another exquisitely bad pun (or risk having my delusions turn into an albatross around my neck once again).
