Description This is based on something I used to do ALL the time, but haven't lately...

You see, Gargoyals in my comics are, first and formost, specteral hunters(Hench why they hang out around churches so much; Traditionally, in MY stuff at least, in exchange for a few coins off the collection plate for their hungry bellies, they will keep all evil spirits at bay and help contain and direct the good ones.). This means, of course, that no matter how cute and cuddly they look "normally" the must ultimatly be able to pull off a scowl scary enough to frighten the dead.
Way back when, Xit was always making comical goofy faces (The kind new parents will do for their babies, only more stretchy.) that for some reason successfully made various ghosts soil their paranomal poopy pants. Now that I'm older though, and realising that Xit hasn't been trying to scare ghosts too much (Gargoyals ARE able to physically attack ghosts when need be, and I've been going with that mostly.), I desided to give X a GENIUNE scary face... Just for while he's on the job.

"Bodyguard Xit" would work just as well. The great thing about this is, he looks so freaking fierce yet underneath it's still the same copper gargoyle we know and love.

Awww... <3 Thanks dude.
You call him copper? It's kinda funny for me cause of the process it took to give him his color and theres a bit of a back story that came out of it as a result.
You see, back when I first came up with him, I had these metallic crayons that actually looked like metal when you used them. I kept using the gold color for Xit cause of the thought of it making him look noble despite his species and duties (Namely keeping the living world safe from the spirits of the dead.) Well, I lost those crayons, and yellow didn't really suit him, so I decided to make him orange just cause I love it a lot. In the comic storyline, Xit was given the chance to choose his paint job as a 1rst birthday gift, and he wanted to be colored gold, but gold paint was too expensive, so Weasle got him orange, and TOLD him it was gold (Since he's young, he bought it.)
He always loved eating copper, though, so his tongue was always green as long as I've been drawing him.

You're welcome.
Ah, I must've mixed up his body colour with tongue colour. My bad. You just reminded me of using gold crayons at school, too.
Pretty interesting how you came up with the colours, btw. It's all about experimentation.

hehehe that's cute!
i love how he's trying so hard to be vicious looking yet still looks cute despite his effort!
the tongue sticking out of his mouth makes him much more comical!

Honestly, those wings pop out now whenever Xit feels ferocious... Before it was just a sign of maturity.

Garg's is my life. I love these little guys so much, I have personal legend after personal legend behind their origin, habits, and other stuff...

If I ever get it all organised, I could make a book, like that one famous book about Gnomes...

It's pretty old, but you can probably find it in a used book store, or online if your lucky. It's just called "The Gnomes" and it's Text by Wil Huygen, Illustrations by Rien Poortvliet, Published by Abrams Publishing

They made a TV series for it called "David the Gnome."

I was referring to the "Gargoyles" book you would be making! Anyway, about the "Gnomes" book and related products, I got a "Gnomes" parody book called "Humans."
