Well, I was almost finished with this, then Paintshop got all wonky and kept on shrinking it... I hadn't saved, and I didn't want to go through all that editing again... sooo... it's permanently shrunk till I can fix it again... Just in case you can't read it, Louie's first sign(since it's hardest to read) says: "Is it strange that there are a handfull of people harping on cartoon insects being naked and bald?"Anyway, this was kind of inspired by back when she drew a pic of Sue for an art trade, with hair, saying "no clothes I can kinda deal with...but no hair". I didn't mind much, but I got around to thinking how Sue would think of such a thing. Add that to a few things said about insects and clothes, and I HAD to draw this comic.
BTW- if you don't know who "Bucky Bug" is(Second panel.), he's a character in Disney comics where the stories and dialogue are all told in rhyme. His girlfriend June Bug also wears clothes.

I know Bucky Bug. He's a forgotten Disney character likes Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Julius the Cat of The Alice Comedies. I think Bucky is an anthropomorphic beetle. He's mostly appeared in the Disney comics. His only animated cartoon was the Silly Symphonies cartoon, "Bugs In Love" with his girlfriend-then-wife, June Bug and his crow nemesis, Squire Cawker. Me and my friend, did a lot of Bucky Bug drawings. even opened a Bucky Bug fan group at deviantART about a year ago now. By the way, that's a funny comic you made.

I'm shocked I never commented here before, I usually try to comment on everything. This is the very first picture of yours that I saw and how I found you. I think it was over a year ago or more. Haven't seen this one in a while. I like it, it's funny. And I see what you are saying about the signs facing us and no the character Louie is talking to. Really funny and classic cartoonish feel. I think you went a little overboard with the censor bars on Sue, though.

I had a hard enough time drawing her without her shell- it's kind of a key feature in drawing her, so drawing her without it is like drawing Popeye without his swollen forearms and calves- it's possible, but it looks wrong afterward.

Reminds me of the legend of Donald Duck being banned in Finland because he doesn't wear any pants.
And uh, why SHOULD Sue have hair, when ladybugs generally, um, don't? Besides, if she's your character you have a right to draw her however you want...

I think I heard about that Donald Duck story once... I thought it seemed kind of stupid to ban him for THAT...
And thanks for that last sentence. A while ago, I got into an argument with a couple of schoolmates who said she should have breasts "Otherwise she looks like a guy" or something like that. You wouldn't believe some of the wierder suggestions that people have made about my characters that I saw as stupid.

Well, her wings are actually still there(Look on her back.), just her wing covers.
And I had her stomach exploading out of her shell in a story that happens right before "Get Well Sue-n"

I'm not complaining. I just got the idea in me and had to draw it out.
I guess mostly it's cause I couldn't resist the phrase "Like salted hell dipped in battery acid" and the only other comic that features Sue getting hurt that bad already has a punchline.
