This is a SNAIL SHELL 🐌 ☘ 🐌.
One of the big, wild ones that are so rare to find today. Once, farmers let sheeps, cows and goats free in meadows and in the fallow for several months, in the good season. The animals ate, and contributed to keep a certain, man-thought, aspect of the landscape.
Or they cut the grass by hand, with sickles (my grandfather told me).
Today, everybody cuts the grass with lownmowers, which kill snails and other little animals. After decades of this practice, snails are not born big as they were. They get weaker, and are born smaller and smaller. 😿 💚 😿

Moreover, the crack drew my attention. 🔮
The shell was beautiful and almost big as my hand palm, but this crack made me think that what is broken can't be always fixed with glue.
