Hannah's body went numb- she couldn't move as the intimidating figure of her cousin approached. No ... It wasn't her cousin, it wasn't Ruben. What stood before her now was not human, it wasn't even supposed to be real; it was an embodiment of his pure, unharnessed rage.
Were she able to, she would have shuddered as his hand came up to caress her cheek. "Hannah..." The way he spoke her name was like a recovered memory, as if he had long forgotten who she was until this moment. Her eyes widened as he hunched down, staring straight into her eyes. "...It should have been you who died in the barn," his face came closer till their lips were a breath away, "not Laura". As his sisters name passed his lips, his mouth met hers in a sudden kiss.

Have I played "the Evil Within"? No. Have I watched play throughs on YouTube and still gotten the crap scared outta me? Yes. Either way! I have come up with my own OC for the storyline.

Her name is Hannah, and she is Ruben/Ruvik's and Laura's cousin. She grew up with Ruben reading her his science books and journals and playing about the estate with Laura. Unbeknownst to Hannah, her and Ruben's parents were planning to have the children wed when they were old enough (preserving the purity of the family and all that).

One day while playing hide and seek with Laura, she stumbled upon Ruben's lab and saw him dissecting a pigs head, mumbling very frightening things to himself. Before he even noticed her, she quietly crept away and fled the mansion in tears to the long driveway where she collapsed. When she woke, she was inside with everyone hovering around her. When her gaze landed on Ruben, her eyes grew large and she began to cry hysterically. After that day she refused to see her cousins again, much to the disapproval of her parents. The day of the fire was actually a day when Laura asked Hannah to come play with Ruben and her; she refused. When she later heard that Laura and Ruben had died in the barn fire, she fell into a depression and was filled with guilt.

As an adult, she joined the police academy and became a cop out of a desire to help innocent people stay out of harms way (guilt for what happened to her cousins). At the asylum, she follows Sebastian to the computer room where she is also attacked by Ruvik, who doesn't recognize her at first. When she encounters him again, he recalls how she didn't go with them to the barn and begins thinking if she had, his sister could have survived. Now he blames her aswell, but is also a bit conflicted because he still recalls genuinely caring for her in their youth; and unlike Hannah, Ruvik/Ruben was aware of their arranged marriage.
