Not so red anymore obviously. Honestly I have no idea if this mill was ever painted. Certainly there's no evidence of paint left. You can see evidence of water wheel machinery still in place above the mill race. This is probably the second most intact example of a water-driven mill in the area after Greenbank Mill, which is a restored museum, as well as the mill for which the area called Red Mill got its name. Yet I didn't even know it was here until the other day when I was scouting the area.
