Great.
With a sigh, the hairless she-cat stalked into the clearing, her head low and tail drooping. Of all the cats in FireClan, of all the apprentices, Kindlestar had to choose her to be one of them? Don't make eye contact. Keep your head down, and maybe, just maybe, nobody will notice you. She thought, her paws trembling with each step. There was no doubt - the usual 'stoic' (or at least, she tried to look it) apprentice was absolutely terrified. More cats to gawk at her lack of fur. Cats to snigger or whatever behind her back. It was sure to be a terrible night.

Oof!

"Watch it!" She hissed on impulse as she stumbled into a younger apprentice, a brown patched tabby tom that was around her size, just barely avoiding the she-cat beside him. Dunepaw had been so focused on not being seen, keeping her eyes to the ground, that she had run into the very situation she was trying to avoid. "Sorry," She murmured with a sigh, her shoulders slumping as she backed away and sat down a few fox lengths away. There was no avoiding them now.

Adderpaw rolled his eyes at his sister's enthusiasm, and was about to make a witty retort, when someone bumped into him. He turned his gaze on the... she-cat? Yes, she was most defiantly a young she-cat apprentice, and smelled of Fireclan. He was so caught up in listening to his sister's rambling, that he didn't even realize both Dawnclan and Fireclan had joined the gathering.

"Don't be sorry," he said with a crooked smile, trying to be polite, "I wasn't truly watchin' where I was going neither. It's cool." With that, the brown striped tom sat down, motioning for his bouncing sister to do so as well, "But seeing as we've bumped into each other- I'm Adderpaw. This 'ere is Skypaw. This'll be our first gatherin' of sorts. What's your name, pretty lady?"

Dunepaw perked her large ears in surprise at the tom's friendly tone, clearly thoroughly confused. She had bumped into him, snarled at him, apologized and now...he was smiling?

"I...uhm..." The hairless she-cat mewed, clearly caught off guard. Did she hear him right? Had he called her pretty? Was he blind? He didn't look blind, but with her lack of fur and multiple scars 'pretty' was the last thing she considered herself - never before had a new cat reacted so...kindly. Usually their reactions upon first meeting her were much less controlled. Laughing, confusion, disgust all were responses she expected. The last time she had met with an apprentice from a different Clan, she had ended up thoroughly scarred, with the insults about her lack of fur the last thing on her mind. Suddenly the sphynx-looking cat felt very shy, very unsure. Was he making fun of her? He didn't seem like he was, but...

"Dunepaw. My name is...Dunepaw." She at last answered, nodding to both Adderpaw and Skypaw in turn, thoroughly flushed. "N-nice to meet you two."
