The male has more pink under the chin, real pink, this one is dull like most females, also the keeper told me they only had a female...
Most female hummingbirds are brown and dull green, the male is more colorful. Here's a male [link]

It is wonderful, better then the zoo in ways, the other place I love to go is the Tucson Botanicals, I get all my butterfly shots there. They have butterflies certain parts of the yr, usually until March, after that it's too hot here to keep their humidity stable, then they usually re-open around Sept.
