Edit: Changed her face a teensy bit. Didn't really do much other than that to this one, added a shadow, changed her nose, and fixed a skewed eye... yep I did that a lot back when i drew this. LOL minor adjustment for print purposes.originally this picture was drawn for Lasaro so its still dedicated to her ^^ Its original title was imperfect angel but somehow that title no longer suits it. Blah blah blah read on for more boring stuff XD;
MAN! Talk about death by CG! I've been working on this picture practically non stop over the last 3 days and thats just the cg portion....with very few breaks. The lineart's been around for a while but this puppy took forever to ink too.
Honestly it was one of those works I was waiting until the right moment of inspiration before I worked on it farther, and a few days ago it just HIT me...now was the time.
What I learned from this picture: I HATE to soft shade...but I do not COMPLETELY fail at it...even still its got hints of the cel shading hiding in there too. I also learned how to make kick ass crimson water. I have another picture I need to use my water technique on.
SO YEAH my back hurts, my head hurts, my body aches all over and I'm sleep deprived. I think I can attribute it all to this but at the very least ^^ I'm DAMN proud of it! So to everyone who comments and faves THANK YOU IN ADVANCE! I hope you all like it!

This is really very beautiful. You did an amazing job on her wings, and the tattooing is also quite nice (even though I'm not into tattoos). There is one little thing I'm not sure about. She seems a little too thin to me, but maybe that's only be because she has long legs. However, now that I think about it more, elves are generally slimmer than humans, so it's probably not important.
I also love the stump and the moon in the background. The lighting in the piece makes it more romantic which, now that I think about it, makes this a bit of a sad piece. It looks like she's waiting for someone. Perhaps a date that didn't show up?
I wasn't going to favourite this, but now I have to. Great job, and keep up the amazing work.

thanks for the comment. I intentionally tinkered with her proportions in the end because the orignal title was "imperfect angel" so I went out of my way to intensify things and make them less than exact. Thought it gave more a feeling of elegance that way.

Her clothing really helps with her elegance, too. But, yes, I think I see what you mean. People tend to really notice things that are a little out of the ordinary, and even a small deviation in proportions will get a lot of notice. However, there are some people who just don't notice things like that.
