this is a great series! I love how the portraits are lit up, making them stand out rom the scene. Almost like this internal voice that is screaming that you are standing out and everyone notices how out of place you are, when in reality, outside of our heads noone really notices us at all! They just pretend we don't exist as they walk past and ignore us...

Very stunning! I love how the background is darker.... have you seen the photographer's photos where he set up a couple large powerful flashs so when a person in a crowd would walk over a certain spot he would take a photo and it would light them out of the crowd... these remind me of that.

OK the only thing I would change a bit is make the shutter speed a lil slower so the surrounding ppl are a bit more ghost liked blurred out.

ha yeah, that's true... but the thing is that i wasn't on tripod, so if i want to keep the building sharp, i should not go under 1/15... after that it's start to get smooth on the builing.. but thanks for the critic! it's very appreciated

j'adore l'idée,cette composition de 4 photos, avec un éclairage original. Cette impression de faire un arrêt sur image, sur une personne, alors que le reste du monde continue de tourner

Wow! Je n'ai pas pu commenter pendant un certain temps, alors c'est un peu en retard, mais il fallait quand même que je le dises... ça rend brillamment l'impression de "perte dans la multitude" qu'on ressent à NY. Très réussit.

Faut vraiment que je me remette à la photo! Et quand on s'est vu à noel et que tu m'as parlé de flash, je crois que j'ai re-eu la piqure!

C,est prit avec mon flash que je t'es montré, placer en dessous des visages orienté vers le haut, jai sous exposé l'arriere plan d'un cran et demi tout en gardans une vitesse lente pour avoir un bougé dans le foule (le flash rend net les personnages)

I love how they seem so calm and still with everything so busy around them. And they are so bright, while every one else is dark. Great concept and clarity!
I took a trip to NYC once, so many people! It's like St. Louis during Mardi Gras every day. And cabs were awful!
