Ha! I know, right? Dude's got no business being cute.
But yay, thanks! Next time I'm making stuff I'll throw
in a Miijim. He can sit on your desk and judge you.

I would love to have a tiny judgmental Miijim sitting on my desk lol.

Oh, good.

it's happening.

YAY! And thanks. Next time I'm making these,
you want one? It can be pretty much whoever,
and I can just mail it. (It's looking like I may not
be rejoining you guys next semester, for reasons
that are boring and largely medical in nature.)

Bakinaage In reply to GlowWormHQ [2014-12-21 20:23:05 +0000 UTC]
Ah, thanks! And I guess it's not like I'd never see you guys again.
I mean, in person I probably won't, but it sounds like the local internet
situation is about to improve, so that's kind of exciting. We'd be able to
do idiot stuff on Second Life or something. Hahaha.
It kind of looks like I'll be staying close to home while we get some
stuffΒ done, but I'll be able to take a mold-making course at Fleming.
Turns out the special effects thingy I took was its prerequisite. And
there's a latex mask course after that one!
(And I never looked like a normal human again. The end.) Hahaha.

bahaha that sounds super fun though! (the course stuff) I'd love to get into that kind of thing!

I know, I'm really excited about the possibility.
Really helps to take some of the suck out of not
returning. Hahaha.
If we do ever hang out again sometime in the future,
I want to make us all some elf ears. They're one of the easiest
prosthetics, from the look of things, and we can just wear
them around for no reason. That'd be fun.
That reminds me, the teacher once mentioned that she
has fun wearing huge fake scars on her face when she
takes the bus somewhere, because no one's sure if they're
real and they don't dare say anything.

Rigid collodium, I think. I have a little bottle of that.
It feels kind of weird. I definitely believe you could
permanently crease your face that way. Hahaha.
Oh, and which would be more fun with the ears? Just
doing normal stuff with them on, or going out and acting
like a bunch of tourists? Hahaha. (I pictured a group of
elves going on tours and taking pictures of everything,
and now I'm not sure which is funnier.)
π: 0 β©: 1
GlowWormHQ In reply to Bakinaage [2014-12-23 03:22:13 +0000 UTC]
yes! Rigid collodium! That's cool that you have some, I haven't been able to find any (then again I was only looking in the halloween section of walmart and value village)
I kinda wanted to be silly and see if I could perma-crease my face or some other part of my body with some crazy looking scar and make up a cool story about it. Or not have a story at all, and whenever someone asks, just looking away dramatically and saying "I'd rather not talk about it!"
Normal stuff and having elf ears is fun, but acting like tourists could be hilarious. It would give some purpose to that whole summer I spent learning to speak Elf.

Bakinaage In reply to GlowWormHQ [2014-12-23 03:38:04 +0000 UTC]
Woo! Then we need to do that. (The rest of us will have to learn some phrases at least,
and it would be so awesome if an elf-to-English dictionary exists. Then we could go around
using it to ask people where stuff is in English. Hahaha.) ...Is this getting too stupid?
Too bad the only elf-type language I know any words in is drow. And even still, I can only read it.
Hey, what does an elf tourist look like, anyway? Wearing the standard shorts, sandals and socks
of a human tourist? Or, like, fancy elf clothes but with one of those huge "we're going to Europe" backpacks?
π: 0 β©: 1
GlowWormHQ In reply to Bakinaage [2014-12-23 04:37:49 +0000 UTC]
I have several Elf-to-English dictionaries actually haha
I haven't the the foggiest of ideas as to what an Elven tourist might look like, both sound like good options though XD
π: 0 β©: 1
Bakinaage In reply to GlowWormHQ [2014-12-23 04:42:18 +0000 UTC]
I'm not sure which I like more. The first one's the easiest option though.
If we do go the backpack route, we'll need a flag of some sort to sew on them.
Hahaha. ...Well now I'm going to be trying to draw elf tourists all night.

GlowWormHQ In reply to Bakinaage [2014-12-23 18:56:09 +0000 UTC]
baha, I have a screen printing kit! We can make flags
and that sounds great! I can't wait to see the elf tourists if you post them haha.

Bakinaage In reply to GlowWormHQ [2014-12-23 20:28:25 +0000 UTC]
Yay! We need to design ourselves a flag, then. That'll be fun.
Oh, and here's a sketch. Hahaha.

Yay!
OK, I've been looking at flags for a while
now, and it looks like all the best colour
combinations and patterns have been used
by like 20 places each already. Might be
kind of hard to come up with anything that's
nice-looking but won't be easily mistaken
for an existing flag. Hahaha.
π: 0 β©: 1
GlowWormHQ In reply to Bakinaage [2014-12-24 21:39:56 +0000 UTC]
hmm, that could be part of the fun, "oh are you from here?" "no! we're from -random elf place- " "oh! Where's that?" "...we don't know."
but I'm sure we can figure something out haha. We could even borrow some type of flag from Tamriel or Middle Earth >.>
π: 0 β©: 1
Bakinaage In reply to GlowWormHQ [2014-12-24 21:56:15 +0000 UTC]
Haha, true. (I've had that fake elf place thing backfire
on me before though. I chose a random elder scrolls city,
and the dude I was talking to was like, "Oh wow, I've been there!"
then went into this whole serious story about how he'd helped a bunch
of refugees from that area because apparently it was also the name
of a real place.)
This time we'll have to choose more carefully than I did. Hahaha.
But ya, something like the designs used in skyrim to tell you
which hold you're in might be nice.
Oh, and I found this. Don't know why I didn't think to check
the internet sooner. www.nava.org/flag-design/good-β¦
If I come up with anything non-terrible, I'll upload it.

Ah, can't go wrong there.
...Oh, and sort of an update, I guess.
Right now I've got a green flag with a
unicorn on it, and am trying to find a
way to make a ladybug flag look OK.
I should probably just give up on that
one, but... ladybugs! Hahaha.

Bakinaage In reply to GlowWormHQ [2014-12-25 19:58:05 +0000 UTC]
Huh, now I kind of want to do that. I mean,
I've got all this people paint. We'd just have to
add some spots, it'd only take like 15 extra minutes.
But hey, plenty of time to decide on the type of
elf. And it's not like everyone has to be the same.
(Though if Toto wanted to be a rainbow elf we'd have
to get started on the makeup stage earlier. Hahaha.)

Bakinaage In reply to GlowWormHQ [2014-12-26 04:19:55 +0000 UTC]
Aw, that'd be hilarious! I guess I'd go as Baki then.
If I could make a nose. Hahaha. It'd be great if I could
drag Naomi along to be Miijim, too.
The more detail goes into this kind of plan, the less likely
it is to actually happen, but I'm still pretty excited.

Bakinaage In reply to GlowWormHQ [2014-12-26 06:11:40 +0000 UTC]
True. Hahaha. But hopefully some version
of this does happen. I mean, all we need is the
ears and a way to meet somewhere. Everything
else can just be made up as we go.
By the way, merry Christmas! How'd it go?

Nnneat! My cousins got onesies too, and wore them all day.
I got some of that weird kinetic sand or whatever it's called.
And a surprisingly cute dollar store horsie, and a whole bunch
of similarly fun and useless thingies with which to amuse myself.
(And finally found the book Nana wanted! An illustrated collection
of nursery rhymes. We'd been looking since last summer. Huzzah!)

...Gah, I'm so impatient for that mold-making
class right now. I found my old blueprint for that
doll I was going to make, and now I'm thinking it'd
be awesome to mold a bunch of spare parts for it.
Because once again I am far, farΒ ahead of myself.

Ah, thanks! (It's yet another thing that started out as a Baki,
then turned into a Thalethu because he's simpler and has sort
of become the practice humanoid. Hahaha.) If I figure it out alright,
Baki'll have to be the next one.
