This pristine coast lies in the vicinity of the village of Lazurnoye (meaning “azure” in Russian), at the foot of Halikin-Tepesi mountain, some 7 km southwest of Alushta (Crimea, Russia). Its popular name is “Golovkinskiy’s cutting shop” in honor of the prominent Russian geologist Nikolay Golovkinskiy (1834—1897) who lived nearby. For millennia, some intercrossing sea currents moved those stones about and “cut” them into almost perfectly spherical, oval, or egg shapes.

Your landscapes are magnificent. In this one I love the semi-abstract touch of the ringed shells in the foreground.

Thank you.
P.S. Those were huge pebbles, not shells.

The pebbles on that particular beach were about 10 times the ordinary size, which made me feel like I was in Brobdingnag)
I, too, prefer pebbly beaches to sandy beaches for the natural massages pebbles give you when walking and lying on them.
