Cindy Fields always wore her scouting uniform with pride and looked forward to fund raising events. When her allotment of cookies arrived, she was eager to go out and find the perfect location to make a ton of sales. As she stood on the sidewalk behind a fence, Billy Smithers peered over from the other side. Billy and his fellow Comanche Braves had a competition with the local Boy Scout troop, which revolved around the capture of Girl Scouts. Being alone, Cindy was fair game and the cookies were a sweet bonus. The Braves quickly nabbed her and the goods and retreated to Billy's yard. Before she could scream, a gag was tied over her mouth and she was secured to a post by several rope coils. Within a few minutes, Cindy found herself tightly gagged, tied to a post, and standing on a pile of kindling wood. Chief Billy stated that she was their prisoner until the ransom was paid.
