Could you walk from where you are
to the island? It doesn't look far.
Does it get deep in the middle there?

The island is about 5miles away. Not sure how deep the water is in between but the island itself is restricted nature preserve that only marine charters can visit. Also, only 50 people a day are allowed to visit the island.

There's one of those in the middle
of the Panama Canal.
They get really nasty
if you even fish too close to it!
But it's seriously interesting to park your boat
just outside the warning signs
and listen to the howling of the monkeys. . .
more like lemur types I think.
(but then, how would I know?)
