Interesting idea.
Looking at it, your art seems to slowly move from "shiny" to "soft".
Is one better? I don't know. You're the artist, it's your call!

In april picture there is a yuke (in picture) and a selkie (from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles), who's also in the may picture.
