Straight-forward and uncompromising, Coralie has a personality of steel and she likes it that way. When she cares about something, she cares a lot, but when she doesn’t, it’s hard to get her interested. Coralie can be a bit of a showoff sometimes, maybe because she comes from a very educated background (but with barely any experience to back it up). When she’s bored, she will let you know it, and perhaps that carelessness comes from an apathetic attitude towards others’ perception of her. She is very loyal to those she cares about, however, despite how hard it is to get her to like you, much less trust you. She distrusts older men by principle, but has a soft spot for younger kids and fluffy things.
History:

Born as the only daughter to a rich cruise liner CEO in Castelia City, Coralie grew up traveling to cities all around Unova for vacation. She loved the crystal water, clear sky, and adventures following each time they set sail, and she still loves the ocean to this day. Like any child in a prestigious family, Coralie was put into the most expensive of private schools, and any dreams of traveling as a vagabond trainer were laughed at. Not that she wanted to travel around with pokemons, who were more like pets than friends in her family’s circle of associates – no no, that would be ridiculous. She would never want to set sail around the world and explore, like the daring and brave trainers spoken about in story books and on the news… that would be an absolutely ridiculous dream for her to have. Nevertheless, Carolie would look on with envy anyone who stepped foot into the nearby Bug pokemon gym, as she knew that the trainers had a freedom she might never have.

When she was 10, her family situation began to fall apart. Sex scandals involving both her mom and dad split the family apart, and Coralie was left with only her busy, CEO dad as a caretaker. Her personality began to change, growing increasingly aggressive and reclusive as time went on. Even if her grades didn’t suffer, increasingly, she would get into fights at school with her classmates, teachers, and even the principal, to the point where her dad decided that homeschooling would be the better option for her. Coralie’s rebellion continued, however, as she refused to sit through the boring dinner parties, converse with snotty children of the family company’s business partners, and listen to any of her dad’s long lectures and threats for her to behave. Finally, at the urging of her grandparents and extended family, her dad instructed Coralie to leave home for a pokemon adventure; “A character building journey”, as he would call it, refusing to acknowledge that his daughter would aspire to be something other than the wife of a rich businessman. Coralie was sent to the Borealis Region with a set deadline to return home by 18. Whether Coralie would follow-up on that promise or not, however, is yet to be seen – for now, she was just excited to finally set out on her journey as a trainer.
