Description
This Pain

I'm sinking.
Into what, I don't know.
It hurts.
I can feel it start in the back of my throat.
My stomache feels sick.
My muscles contract.
I am pulled by a string in my back that makes me curl up like a defenseless child.
It takes my arms and I feel my hands begin to contort and shake.
I want to rip my heart out through my chest.
I'm feeling sicker.
The back of my arms, my thighs, my calves, all tense and ache, as if kicking and punching would make them feel better.
But I can't.
I can't move.
I freeze as I sink further.
I know I am screaming inside.
The pit of my stomache pushes out louder, more primal screams.
But it still makes no sound.
Instead it shakes my skin and comes out my every pore.
I notice I've been sobbing.
The feeling in my face returns as the stream of tears fall around the contours of my cheeks.
I breath again for the first time since I can remember; like I came up from an ancient wreckage at the bottom of the sea.
It still hurts.
My mind begins to wander.
I start to look around the room, remembering slowly that I was actually somewhere.
Muscles relax and melt.
I'm almost ashamed.
I feel confused, as if waking from a nightmare much to real.
It's quiet.
I stare off into nothing for a long momment before standing up.
It's an auto-pilot that was some how set up despite my unorganized self.
A numbness takes over.
Then I see someone.
It could be anyone.
I smile.
Because nothing is ever wrong..............

This is it. It kicked my BUTT!! I really worked hard on this piece. Her nervous system is outlined in silver leaf. I was really excited over that^^ Once mounted and framed, I will bring this one over to the gallery for an opinion.*crosses fingers*
